Define the term resource.
Resources are things that come from the earth to satisfy human’s needs.
Please define the term Renewable Resource.
Something that is replaced by a natural process at the same time at which it is being used/harvested/consumed (for example, timber)
Please define the term Non-Renewable Resource.
Resources which take a very long time to replenish, usually much longer than a human’s lifetime (for example, coal, oil, natural gases)
Identify the Spheres of the Earth
biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere.
What is the atmosphere?
the thin layer of gases surrounding the planet. It holds the oxygen that’s essential for life.
What is the hydrosphere?
includes all water on earth - solid and liquid (ice and water)
What is the biosphere?
contains all living things. For example, human, basil, and dogs.
What is the lithosphere?
the crust and upper mantle. Constantly changes.
