A

A
- without access to nutritious food, people can become malnourished as they don’t have the eight balance of nutrients (can affect development of children)
- malnourishment increases the risk of getting diseases
- people who are malnourished have lower productivity, so it harms not only their personal economic well being but also the country’s economic wellbeing

A
- clean water is needed for drinking, cleaning, cooking etc
- if water ins’t clean, people are at risk of catching waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid
- people also may have to walk long distances to fetch water, so they are working less which impacts the economy negatively

A
- energy is used for industry, transport and homes
- in industries, electricity can create jobs, positively boosting the economy
- if people can use lights during the dark, productivity is higher as they are working for longer
- way of life in HICs depend on a large and stable supply of energy

A
- higher in HICs as they can afford it and expect a higher standard of living
- lower in LICs as they have to spend money on importing it or making use of resources that they already have
- NEEs use rapid amounts of resources as they are quickly developing

- increasing as people want seasonal food all year round meaning food has to be imported from other countries eg Mexico for strawberries
- organic produce is becoming more popular as more people are becoming aware of the environmental impacts
- increase in demand for high value foods eg, coffee and exotic fruits. typically imported from LICs
