What does the reservoir do when conditioning the fluid?
Removes solid particulates
Removes air (de-aeration)
Remove water (de-hydration)
What is the 4 factors influencing the size of the reservoir?
Pump delivery rate
Circulation time
Volume of liquid required to supply
Heat dissipation
What is the purpose of the baffle in the reservoir?
Causes a change of direction and gets rid of the air, water and dirt
How is the particulates collected in the reservoir?
Slope, can be drained off through a drain valve
What is the purpose of the vent/ vacuum?
Air rises to the top above the liquid and is removed through the valve
How is heat dissipated in the reservoir?
Through the large surface area on the walls as the liquid enters
