Reservation Introduction
A
- Start of a reservation
- Go through introductions in rank order (Highest-lowest)
- Bow
- “Yoroshuu otanomoshimasu, (Geimei) dosu”
- Please take care of me
- All in Japanese
- Allows patrons to know your name

When & How to Toast
A
- Start of a reservation/sudden, after introductions
- One attending staff member will get out their microphone and explain the toast
- OPT: 1-2 geisha will pass out sake if it has not been already
- Reservation: Host gives the toast
- Sudden: Volunteer gives the toast

When & How to Toast (Explanation)
A
- Toast begins w/ host or volunteer sharing a few words
- Gratitude, good wishes, purpose of res, ect.
- Mention of them receiving or having sake
- Hold it out but do not sip
- “Kampai” (cheers) said at the end of the toast
- Host may come up
- OPT: Ask for a volunteer and thank them for doing so, ask them to come up
- Everyone may hold out their sake if not already
- Geisha hold sake
- Toast finishes, all say “Kampai”, toast-giver goes back to their seat, reservation commences

Reservation Steps (Before)
A
- Geisha discuss who will host
- Host plans out with other geisha who does what
- Geisha set up reservation room and (optional) waiting room.
- Patrons wait outside of reservation room/building or in waiting room.

Reservation Steps (During)
A
- Patrons are escorted into room and geisha seiza bow as they enter.
- Door is closed, attendance is started, geisha line up in rank order
- Geisha enter, dogeza, ookini, + line up on stage in rank order.
- Host does welcoming
- Geisha do introductions
- One geisha explains toast, other pass out sake if not already provided
- Patron does toast, kampai, reservation starts.
- Geisha talk to patrons.
- One geisha provides first course if a Chaya Attendant is not present.
- Performance or game or continued conversation.
- One geisha provides second course if a Chaya Attendant is not present. *OPT
- Performance or game or continued conversation.
- One geisha provides dessert if a Chaya Attendant is not present.
- Performance or game or continued conversation.
- Host does ending
- Geisha escort patrons out of reservation room and seiza bow as they exit.

Reservation Steps (After)
A
- Geisha walk into room after closing the door to clean up left over food and set-up.
- One geisha submits attendance (Maiko+).
- Geisha leave chaya.

Taking & Filing Reservations (Suddens)
A
- Visit the phone and create a reservation with according info to file it into the system
- Click the phone and say “Request a reservation”
- Phone doesnt understand japanese
- Things to enter;
- Guest number (Patrons attending)
- Occasion (Sudden)
- Guest of Honor (n/a)
- Date & time (Slot closest to the sudden time)
- Particular geisha (Geisha attending sudden)

Taking & Filing Reservations (Viewing)
A
- Click on phone “Check reservations”
- Will appear in the following format
- Host - Date - Time - Reservation number
- To view a res, say “play (reservation number)”
- Gives a detailed view of res info
- Information displayed in the following order:
- Username
- Guest amount
- Occasion (sudden, anything else)
- Guest of honor
- Scheduled Date & Time
- Particular geisha (Sudden, scheduled - prefer a geisha)

Taking & Filing Reservations (Commands)
A
- Delete; deletes a reservation (event passed)
- Play; see reservation details
- Approve; Approve a reservation + opt. location (w/o a checkmark)
- Decline; Decline a reservation

Taking & Filing Reservations (Extras)
A
- If person who requested is in the discord, (Geisha) host will ping them a bit before the res as a reminder
- If not in discord, wait for them to join game for the res and invite them ingame

Taking & Filing Reservations (Discord)
A
- “Reservations channel”
- Shows approved reservations
- To show you will be attending, react with a 👍
- Do not react to a reservation with the “Sudden” occasion
- If reservation has a ✅, that means it has been completed
- If reservation has a ❌, that means it did not happen
- Only react to events you attended or can attend
- Do not react if the limit for geisha has been met. (1:1 geisha/patron)
- If a geisha was requested, check if they can attend before reacting

Hosting Events & Reservations
A
- Host oversees and gathers proper information for a successful event
- Ensures everything runs smoothly and everyone collaborates together

Hosting Events & Reservations (Before)
A
- Ensure room is set up
- Make sure all geimaiko/taikomochi are present
- Ensure patrons can make it
- Makes sure all Juniors present have a Maiko/Taikomochi+ to watch them if non-independent
- Will need a report

Hosting Events & Reservations (During)
A
- Direct flow of event (When things happen, when event begins/concludes, etc.)
- Ensure staff do their tasks (performances, meals, etc.)
- Ensure event runs smoothly
- Handle staff leaving/entering late.
- Handle patrons leaving/entering late.
- Handle any other mishaps that may occur

A
- Which staff does what (performaces, meals, etc.)
- Ensure all roles are taken
- If present: Ensure Chaya Attendants are prepared with meal plans.
