What is a Hypothesis and what must it include?
A hypothesis is a tentative, testable answer to a question. It must be written as a statement, must include an IV and a DV and must predict the outcome.
What is the difference between Primary Data and Secondary Data
Primary data is original research that is obtained through first-hand investigation, while secondary data is research that is widely available and obtained from another party.
What is the difference between Qualitative Data and Quantitative Data?
Qualitative Data is data which is easily calculated as it is in the form of numbers whereas Qualitative Data is not as easily calculated as it is generally words and requires coding
What is an Advantage and Disadvantage of a Survey?
A: A lot of data can be quickly collected

What is an Advantage and Disadvantage of an Interview?
A: The interviewer’s presence may encourage subjects to be more cooperative

What is an Advantage and Disadvantage of an Observation?
A: Observation reveals what really happens, rather than what subjects say happens
D: Time consuming and observer must stay objective at all times
What is the difference between Data and Information?
Data is unprocessed, unorganised and distinct facts and ideas whereas Information is processed, organised and value-added data.
What is Codifying Qualitative Data and what is the purpose?
Codifying Data is the converting or altering of Qualitative Data to numbers. The purpose is to give the data more meaning and to make it more understandable to the public
What are the 5 elements of Data Integrity?
Accuracy, Timeliness, Reasonableness, Authenticity, Correctness
Why would an organisation acquire data online?
Cheap (no need for staff), 24/7 (accessible all over the world) & Accuracy (increased when someone else is inputting data)
