Q

P4: Resistance of wire - method (6)

A

-Set up the apparatus by connecting two crocodile clips to the thin resistance wire a distance of 10 cm apart
-set the power supply to 1.5 V
-Connect the wire to circuit
-Record pd from voltmeter and current from ammeter
-Move the clips in 10 cm intervals further apart
-record + repeat for each length reading

Q

P4: Electrical components - method

A

-Connect ammeter in series + measure resistance with resistor
-Connect a voltmeter in parallel + measure resistance with resistor
-Use a variable resistor in series with the resistor to vary pd across the resistor.
-Start with pd of 0 + increase pd by an interval of 0.2V up to 2V.
-Recording the readings on the voltmeter and ammeter.
