Amenorrhea
Absence of menstrual periods
Balanitis
Inflammation of the glans penis (head of penis)
Circumcision
Surgical removal of the genital foreskin
Cryptorchidism
Hidden or obscure testis; undescended testicles
Dysmenorrhea
Moderate to severe pain caused by menstrual periods
Dyspareunia
Painful intercourse; persistent or recurrent genital pain that occurs just before, during, or after sex
Ectopic pregnancy
When the fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus; most often occuring in the fallopian tube
Endometriosis
Tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus
Epididymitis
Inflammation of the tube that connects the testicle with the vas deferens
Hysterosalpingo-oophorectomy
Surgical removal of the uterus, oviducts, and ovaries
Oligospermia
Low sperm count
Oophoritis
Inflammation of the ovaries
Orchitis
Inflammation of the testicle unilaterally or bilaterally usually caused by viruses and bacteria
PAP smear
A screening test to detect cervical cancer or precancerous cells in the cervix by brushing the cervix for cells
PCOS
Polycystic ovarian syndrome; a hormonal disorder that causes enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges
Peyronie disease
Development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, causing penile curvature during erections and pain
Phimosis
When the foreskin is too tight and cannot be pulled back over the head of the penis
PID
Pelvic inflammatory disease; an infection of the female reproductive system
Prepuce
The foreskin or hood like covering of the clitoris or penis
Priapism
A persistent, often painful erection unrelated to sexual arousal
Salpingitis
Inflammation of the fallopian tubes, often due to infection
Sterility
Inability to conceive or reproduce
Testicular torsion
Twisting of the spermatic cord, cutting off blood supply to the testicle, causing severe pain and possible damage
Varicocele
Enlargement of veins within the scrotum, often causing discomfort or pain
