Located Posterior to the kidneys
Function:
Contain all the developing eggs. Produces estrogen and progesterone.
Oviducts (fallopia tube in ???)
Anatomical Appearance:
Tiny tubes that surround the ovaries themselves, and pass into the two wavy uterine horns.
Function:
The only function of the Oviduct is to promote transport of an egg matured in the Ovary into the Uterus where it can then be fertilized by Sperm.
Uterus
Anatomical Appearance:
Is by formed from the union of the horns posteriorly.
Function:
For humans, the fetus develops in the uterus.
Uterine Horns
Anatomical Appearance:
Two wavy horns that connect to the uterus.
Function:
For pigs, this is where the development of multiple fetuses occurs. Not in the main body of the uterus like humans.
Vagina

Function:
tubes of the urethra and vagina fuse at the urogenital sinus and both urine and reproductive secretions exit the body by the same urogenital opening.
Testes (Testis = singular)

Males have two Testes that are enclosed in the scrotum.
Function:
Sperm matures in the testes
Scrotum
Anatomical Appearance:
An exterior sac ventral to the anus.
Function:
contains testes and protects them–acts as climate control
Vas Deferens (aka ductus deferens)
Anatomical Appearance:
Very tiny delicate tubes that loop over the urethra and connect behind the bladder to join the urethra.
Function:
Mature sperm travel through the tubes to the urethra.
Male urethra
Anatomical Appearance:
It’s difficult to tell where the urethra ends and the penis begins. Which is ok!

The urethra delivers urine and sperm to the connecting urogenital canal within the penis
Penis with urogenital canal
