Oocyte (egg) bursts from an ovary into the coelom
Oviduct ( Fallopian tubes)
Fertilization starts here and the fertilized egg travels uterus to the utern lining.
Ciliary movement
Moves developing embryo to the uterus
Uterine lining formed once a month
Endometrium
Ovaries
Releases Oocytes. Produces estrogen and progesterone
Terrestrial animals
Must convert ammonia to ureas or Uric acid because ammonia is very toxic. Loose water through excretion and respiration.
Kidneys four homeostatic functions
- Excretion of metabolic wastes
- Maintenance of water-salt balance
- Maintenance of acid- balance (pH balance)
- Secretion of hormones
Ureters
Conduct urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder
