Carcinoma
Malignant tumors of the cervix (Cx), ovary, prostate, or testes.
Endometriosis
Increased endometrial (uterine lining) tissue that migrates outside the uterus.
Fibroids
Benign uterine tumors that may cause excessive uterine bleeding.
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID
Inflammation of the ovaries, cervix, uterus, or fallopian tubes, caused by infection that may result in infertility or septicemia
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS):
Characterized by symptoms including depression, irritability, mood swings, weight gain, breast tenderness, water retention, and nervousness occurring 7 to 14 days before menstruation.
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs
Diseases transmitted by sexual contact such as chlamydiosis, gonorrhea, herpes genitalis, syphilis, trichomoniasis, and AIDS.
