How do visceral afferent nerve fibres get back to the spinal cord from the inferior aspects of the pelvic organs?
They run along parasympathetic nerve fibres and enter the spinal cord at S2.S3.S4
Where would a patient feel pain from an insult to the inferior part of their pelvic organs?
in the S2.S3.S4 dermatome
i.e the perineum
What supplies the perinumeum below the levator ani?
pudeundal nerve
What are the nerve roots for the pudenedal nerve?
S2.S3.S4
