Trustee models means the MP believes they have been elected based on their election platform and hope to achieve this as best as possible.

Partisan model (mandate model)

A

Partisan model means the MP believe they have been elected based on the party platform and hope to help the party fufill its agenda.

Leads to MPs following the party whip rather than what their constituents want. However eg MP Sylvia Hermon N.Down voted against brexit bill to represent her constituency.

-they represent different walks of life and fields. Are not bound by party loyalty. They are experienced. Eg Lord weber in the Arts, Lord Trimble, Lord sugar in industry.
