Introduction
Considers the area of psychology in which the study is based
Focuses on previous research in that area
Justify current research and identify the aim of the research
End up with a alternative/null hypothesis
Method
Contains all details needed for someone to carry out exactly the same research in the same conditions Includes method (observation, interview, experiment) with info about the sample (how it was gathered, age range, gender), design used, copy of apparatus used, outline of procedure, how ppts were approached, what was said, timings and what happened

Refers to raw data
Provides descriptives and summaries
Graph to show comparisons in conditions

What the study has discovered

Suggestions for future improvements
References
Everything needs to be clearly referenced so anyone reading it will know where everything has come from and they won’t get done for plagerism

Contain materials, calculations, raw data and anything else that is needed
Written in third person and past tense
