Sfumato involved blurring or smudging lines and coulours to give a smokey affect this had a affect of making things more life like
What does fresco mean
Mean fresh, powdered pigments were mixed with egg yolk to prouduce tempra paint this fried very quickly so they couldnt fix mistakes or use awide variety of colours then were painted on to wet plastered walls
Where did the Renaissance take place and why
Italy , new ideas from trade and wealth from trade and the fall of the roman empire was there and since the romans made such a big impact, people wanted to follow their ancestors footsteps and make a impact

Talk about the printing pronting press
The Movable type printing presswas made by johannes Gutenberg he placed individual metal letters into frame to form words,coated them with ink and pressed tgem onto paper. It could be repeated as many times as needed. He then moved the letters for another print so on and on. The first book he printed was the guttenbourgh bible.printed books were much cheaper than manuscripts ,allowing more ppl to buy them more people learned to read and write, people began to read for entertainment,the use pf latin decoined as people wrote in their own language, the control of the catholic church declined as it was possible to challenge the church and their audience

A professor in Italy named Galileo Galilei heard of a Dutch invention, called the telescope, he used his telescope to study the planet and stars, and made several important important discoveries such as the surface of the moon has craters on the mountains, and the Saturn has rings. In the 1540s, a Polish priest named Nicholas Copernicus wrote book, called on the revolutions of the heavenly spires, which declared that the Earth rotates around the Sun, Kopernikus didn’t publisher book until he was dying. He feared reaction Galilee revived, his ideas, the pope ordered that he should be on trial before the institution was convicted of heresy (knowingly holding that against the teachings of the catholic church) was terrified of being burnt at the usual punishment for heretics, and eventually agreed he was in the wrong and they kept them on house harassed until he died in 1640
