Diagnosis?

A

Given the patient’s age and race, the most likely diagnosis is of membranous glomerulonephritis;

this is the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome in those of European descent. Confirmation of the individual disease responsible for the development of nephrotic syndrome can be obtained via renal biopsy
