Ambulance
• Morphine 5-110mg, O2, GTN spray, aspirin 300mg, clopidogrel
• Antiemetic- metoclopramide 10mg
• Atropine 500mcg (max 3mg) if bradycardia
• ECG

Meningitis/ encephalitis Mx

A

Ambulance, if shock lie flat and raise legs
• Meningococcal disease: IV/ IM benzylpeniccilin or
Cefotaxime
• Not meningococcal: penicillin
• IV access, blood culture, fluids, O2

Signs & Sx of severe asthma attack

A

Signs/ symptoms of severe attack
• PEFR 33-50% predicted/ best
• Os saturation ≥92%, cant talk in sentences
• Intercostal recession, RR ≥25 breaths/ min, HR ≥110bpm

Life threatening asthma signs

A

Life-threatening signs
• PEFR <33% predicted/ best
• O2 saturation <92%
• Arrhythmia, hypotension, cyanosis
• Exhaustion, poor resp effort, silent chest, altered consciousness
