Polycystic Kidney Disease
A
There are two types
Autosomal Dominant: the most prevalent monogenic disorder in humans. Bilateral renal cysts, and cysts in other organs.
Autosomal Recessive: Will present as an infant and cause htn. Intrahepatic biliary dysgenesis, most infants will develop hepatic fibrosis.

Hypertension Guidelines (Treatment Guidlelines)
A
Pre hypertension: >90 th - 95th.
Hypertension:
Stage 1: >95th - 99th + 5mmHg
Stage 2: > 99th + 5 mmg Hg
Treatment required if: DM - 1 or 2 2ndary hypertension Stage 2 Symptomatic hypertension End organ damage Failed lifestyle modification
Treatment: ACE and Arbs are first line, then calcium channel blockers
