Dunstable - motets, mass ordinary, secular songs, 3 part settings of liturgical texts
“Quam Pulchra Es” - (motet) lots of 3rds and 6ths moving together. Sounds more like a carol.
Burgundian (French) lands
Secular chansons (French), motets, Magnificats, hymn settings.
DuFay - reveilles Vous - Ballade form. “Se la face ay pale”
Binchois - “De plus en plus” Rondeau
The “Low Countries” (Northern Composers)
Ockeghem - mass based on de Plus en Plus. Less intricate than Ars Subtilior. Masses with fuller texture, Lower notes. Mass parts unified musically. teacher of Obrecht, Isaac, des Prez

Isaac - “Innsbrucck, Ich muss dich lassen”. Sounds like a hymn
Des Prez - Chansons, strophic texts. “Mille regretz,” homogenous texture. Wrote imitative mass and paraphrase mass
