What is chivalry?
The mediaeval knightly system with its religious, moral and social code.
What is the difference between good lordship and heavy lordship
good lordship - looking after those below
heavy lordship - oppressive leading to disgruntled servants
Sports - what did they do?
Jousting
Wrestling equally as important as chivalry
What do Tudor monarchs set up for England?
Tudor monarchs set fundamental principles of modern English foreign policy – build up maritime status
What did Henry VIII try and portray
a macho significance - wore armour and royal way
Who was Henry VII
First sovereign of the Tudor Dynasty
What did he do
He rebuilt the Anglo-Burgundian alliance with Maximillian I and Phillip the Handsome
Anglo-Burgundian - Netherlands Hasburg family - important economic market for English exports.
why was this important?
Needed to do this as the Tudors were quite insecure. Henry seventh founded the throne after the battle of Bosworth.

How is he often depicted

What sort of response does all of this provoke?
