What is Mannerism?

A

Mannerism design deviated from the earlier Renissance work in several ways. 1st - Lacked structural logic. 2nd - Classical Elements were frequently used in arbitrarily and capriciously. 3rd - Manipulated by long contrived spaces. Vignola’s Church of the Gesu in Rome is a good example of this.
