What was invented that allowed the spread of information on medicine and there things?
The printing press.

What was the significance of the discovery of gunpowder to medicine
The discovery meant that new wounds were made, pushing people to come up with new methods of healing.
What did vesalius do?
He wrote the on the fabric of the human body. It was successful because it ad extremely detailed paintings of bodies in them.
Why was andrew successful?
He was a great showman and invited everyone to his dissections to make people curious and get them interested in finding the truth.
What did William Harvey do?
He figured out that the heart pumps blood around the body and that it is non-pouros. Previously people thought it remained stagnant in the body.
When i did Jenner test his cow pox theory and when did he publish it?
Tested in 1796 and published in 1798
What did Jenner do?
He took some cowpox from a milkmaids sore and put it into James Phipps. He developed the symptoms and then when they had passed, Jenner gave him smallpox, he did not contract it, showing that he had become immune.
Why did people oppose Jenner?
He had no explanation for why it worked
Unknown side affects (turning into a cow)
Against god
People did not want to accept that something they had believed in all their lives is wrong.
Why was little progress in treatment made?
Lack of technology and these discoveries had merely opened the door to the treatments, more knowledge was still needed.
