What are the three things the Catholic Church teaches sex has to be (explain them)?

1. Sex has to be Marital - which means sex and love is a gift from God. Marriage is the ultimate commitment because vows are made in fron of God and the community.
2. Sex is meant to be unitive - Sex unites the couple and deepens their love. They become closer and more comitted. They totally give themselves to each other.
3. Sex is to procreate - God gives new life through sex. There is more intesity in self - giving when open to new life.
