  • For Christians it is important to remember that Jesus continued to show his love and compassion even during his immense suffering. When Jesus was on the cross he exclaimed ‘‘Forgive them father for they don’t know what they are doing’’

  • It is the most important event in Christianity as it is told/taught in all gospels
  • Jesus is victorious over sin suffering and death. All people share in this.
  • Life after death nis now possible (sin and death can be overcome)
  • Initially, Jesus’ followers did not recognize him because Jesus had entered a new, different/perfect creation.

Future: Salvation will be completed at the end of time - sin and death will be completely destroyed.
