Why was there a schism after the death of prophet Muhammad
There was a Schism after the death of prophet Muhammad as the people of Mecca in Saudi Arabia were arguing over who she be the next leader. Two groups were then formed called Sunni and Shia. 90% of the population were Sunni where they believe anyone who wanted to have the role of the leader in the village could be and Shia was the other 10% where the wanted the new leader to be part of prophet Muhammad’s family.
