Reliability and Validity Flashcards
How reliable is a laboratory, natural and field experiment?
Laboratory- very as its controlled
Natural - internal isn’t yet external is
Field - a little controlled
What mundane realism?
Mundane realism is how the materials and procedures involved in an experiment are similar to events that occur in the real world.
What is ecological validity?
Ecological validity is the measure of how test performance predicts behaviours in real-world settings.
What is internal validity?
Internal validity is what happens inside the study.
What is external validity?
External validity is how the results can be generalised beyond the study.
What is validity if psychological measures?
This is how well the methods of measurement actually measure what you intended to.
What is population validity?
