Q

Buddhist views on contraception?

A

Most believe it is acceptable.
Some believe that preventing a fertilised egg from developing is a form of killing, therefore breaking the first moral precept.
However if the child would threaten the mothers health then a contraception such as the morning after pill may be the most loving (metta) and compassionate (karuna) thing to do.
