Accent vs dialect
A - differences in pronunciation, D - features of grammar, vocab, pronunciation; both have regional and social aspects

Non-mobile older rural males; used for dialect research because they were less likely to have influence from the outside region or from standard dialects

Imaginary boundary between linguistic features; word, phonological/phonetic aspect feature, or grammar issues
