Q

how is social reductionist

A

theorys such as social impact theory reduce social to an equation, this is reductionist as it does not consider disposition factors at all such as nurture. This is a problem as it does not explain why people do not obey, you cannot explain a social interaction in just an equasion

Q

how is social holistic

A

social agency theory can be considered holistic as it suggests we have an evolutionary predisposition to be obedient as to stay alive in a group. This is good as it looks at a range of reasons why we are obedient not just the nature or nurture so we can explain the behaviours better.
