  • the opening stave reflects Scrooges emotions- cold and gloomy atmosphere- This presents the hostile atmosphere as intrusive and uncontrollable, allowing it to dominate the tone of the stave.
  • In the final stage the fog disappears and the sky is isntead bright and jovial which reflects Scrooge’s character- highlights his change as successfull and having a positive effects on others aswell as his surroundings
