Pinot Nior from Willamette Valley, Oregon
This wine’s scents of wild cherry and red plum are framed by a pleasant nut-skin bitterness. The texture is brisk and light; the nuttiness becomes more savory and vinous with air; fresh acidity guides the wine to a terse finish. A good value for wild mushroom pasta.

Wine Maker Notes
Fox Block Pinot Nior from the Russian River Valley, California
The wine is sweet and silky, and has that wonderful characteristic that all great pinots do of being rich yet light on its feet, mouth filling without being heavy. A light overlay of tobacco spice frames the red raspberry and cherry fruit to add an interesting depth. The longer it sits in the glass, the more the juiciness opens up. This is definitely a crowd-pleaser pinot, and also a wonderfully versatile pairing wine, complimenting everything from grilled salmon and roasted chicken to mushroom pizza and lamb burgers.

On the pallet succulent juicy flavors of black fruits are presented by a smooth elegant wine with a creamy silky texture. The tannins are mature and well integrated providing richness without astringency. The finish is long and flavors of hibiscus flowers, mineral and chalk linger well after the wine is gone.
