Joint instability (acute or unstable fracture, infection)

Local cancer

Open wound

Rheumatoid arthritis (cervical spine)

Cauda equina syndrome

Upper motor neurone signs / myelopathy

Vertebral arterial insufficiency

A

Acute severe flare of arthritic joint or infection
