What is induction training?
This takes place when someone first joins the business. It is training provided to new employees by the employer in order to assist in adjustment to their new job tasks and to help them become familiar with their new work environment and the people working around them. This type of training will also outline the basic overview of the business and it’s services as well as the new employees role in the environment
What is on the job training?
Employee training at the place of work while he or she is doing the actual job. Usually a professional trainer or an experienced employee serves as the course instructor using hands on training often supported by formal classroom training.
What is off the job training?
Employe training at a site away from the actual work environment. It often utilises lectures, case studies, role playing, simulation.
What is an apprenteship?
It’s a method in which trainees learn a craft or trade by hands on experience while working with a skilled worker, usually under a written or implied internship agreement
What is coaching and mentoring?
Coaching is extending traditional raining methods to include focus on the individuals needs and accomplishments
Mentoring is an employee training system under which a senior or more experienced individual is assigned to act as an advisor, counselor, or dude to a junior or trainee. The mentor is responsible for providing support to and feedback on the individual
