Describe three post operative conditions in horses

A

Upper airway obstruction - epiglottis can obstruct upper airway (nasal flaring and abdominal respiratory effort)
Nasal oedema - Often self resolving - leave ET Tube in
Laryngeal Obstruction - dorsal displacement of soft palette and retraction of the epiglottis (avoided with correct selection of ET tube)
