Q

Explain some of the general directions and how they pertain or differ to the Delayed Symbol Translation.

A

Recognition Symbol Translation can be administered regardless of child’s performance on Delayed Symbol Translation. Administer RST immediately after DST if both subtests are given. If DST was not given, administration of RST should be given 20-30 minutes after completion of IST.

For RST, the child views a symbol and selects the correct translation from response options the examiner reads aloud.
