A

The child learns visual-verbal pairs and then translates symbol strings into phrases or sentences.

What is the scoring criteria?

A

General: Translation must be precise to be correct. Credit for each item is based on the number of correct translations. For each correct translation, record a check mark in the corresponding box. Incorrect or skipped translations are not recorded.

Item 1-3: Score only the last completed trial. 1 point for correct translation and 0 points for incorrect, skipped, or failure to respond. For each item, record the total number of correct translations for the last completed trial in the Item score column.

Items 4-6: Score only the last completed trial. 1 point for correct translation and 0 points for incorrect, skipped, or failure to respond. For each item, record the total number of correct translations for the last completed trial in the Item score column.

Items 7-21: Correct translations of “and” and “the” do not receive credit. Score only the last completed trial. 1 point for correct translation and 0 points for incorrect, skipped, or failure to respond. For each item, record the total number of correct translations for the last completed trial in the Item score column
