- earl of Northumberland was killed due to resentment over rising taxation
- limited support
- henry sent the earl of surrey to put down the threat and little to no damage was caused

A
- caused by resentment over raised taxes to fund Scottish campaign
- 15,000 troops marched to London and got as far as Blackheath
- lead by lord Audley who was executed but the rest of the rebels dealt with leaniently
- henry was forced to send troops from Scotland to deal with the threat

- lambert simnel’s claim to the throne was being supported by john de la pole and Margaret of Burgandy. had foreign support. Margaret resented Henry as she was related to richard III

- harboured by Scotland, spain and Ireland for 2 years
- was made archduke to Philip of burgundy
- however his influence was limited after treaty of etaples 1492 and treaty of ayton 1497 meant he had to return to England
- tried to gain support after Cornish rebellion in 1497 but couldn’t
- executed in 1489
