Conclusions of the Tehran Conference
- USA and UK would open a Second Front by launching an attack in Western Europe
- Stalin would declare war against Japan
- It was agreed that Germany had to be defeated and that Poland would receive land from Germany after they were defeated
- Germany would be split into four zones, all being controlled by different powers
- Germany would also have to pay $20 billion in reparation, with half of that money going to the Soviet Union
- UN would be set up later in 1945
- Stalin agreed that free elections would be held in Eastern European countries to decide future governments
- Poland’s borders would return to its original position in 1921 and free elections would be held there
