Coolant

A

Indicate location of sight glass (top of fans) if engine is not hot, I would remove radiator cap and check for visible coolant levels.

Two fans

A

Left fan first, is air cooler

Right fan is radiator

They are both belt driven

Check for snugness and no more than 3/4 inch of play.

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Transmission

A

Indicate location of dip stick (located on street side)

To check Engine must be ON, remove the dip stick. Wipe the dip stick, clean, with a clean cloth. Reinsert dipstick into the receiver tube. Remove dip stick, again, and check oil level at the end of the dip stick.

Fluid level must be above the refill mark.

Oil

A

Indicate location of dipstick. On the engine.

remove the dip stick. Wipe the dip stick, clean, with a clean cloth. Reinsert dipstick into the receiver tube. Remove dip stick, again, and check oil level at the end of the dip stick.

Fluid level must be above the refill mark.

Power steering

A

Indicate location of power steering reservoir. (Curb side)

Check sight glass for proper fluid level, must be above refill mark

Alrernator/generator

A

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Belt driven

Make sure it’s operating properly, not damaged, wires are connected properly not frayed and mounted properly.

Check gauges to show alternator is charging or that warning light goes off on operators panel.

Water pump

A

Gear driven

Located on street side

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Make sure it’s mounted properly, working properly and not damaged or leaking, would get a light on operators panel.

Air compressor

A

Gear driven

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Working properly and no leaks, (air pressure gauge would indicate a low air warning)

Power steering

A

Gear driven

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Operating properly, not damaged or leaking and mounted properly. (If leaked, steering would start to feel hard)

Crank shaft pulley

A

Gear driven

Check and point out cracked or frayed belts, and hoses, frayed or damaged wires.

Exhaust pipe

A

Check for leaks, make sure it’s properly mounted, no cracks, rust or corrosion

Underneath bus

A

Look for any leaks, hanging objects, no leaning from bus
