Invalid: comparison and contrast
- contrasting or comparing 2 things but not supported by what in passage even it it is true
Comparison and contrast not support in the passages ( whether valid or invalid)
-valid references- to ideas in the passage that do not specifically compare and contrast “ the different from this or this similar to this”
Whimsical definition
Reading for detail
- last part or most memorable will mislead me into the wrong answer
-focus more on broad concepts ( details with specific examples) Throughout the passage or nuances ( subtle concepts)
Ex: what is the most popular jeans for girls?

Extrapolation and application questions
Avoid supporting SWEEPING generalization “ ALL NEVER , NONE , AVOID . ANY EXTRA INFORMATION
After reading the passage you may be asked to apply what you have learned or extrapolate what would likely be true in a given scenario based on information provided in the passage.
The correct answers are usually qualified or limited
Example ; ALL benefits from refinance - wrong
MANY benefit from refinance
Avoid choosing information that is not given in the passage

Best answer is one which gives continuity to the passage logical flow
- Summarize for yourself what is being said BOTH before and anger . then find missing link between the ideas.
Do not simply choose an answer that makes sense following the sentence that proceeds it. “ make sure it connect to the sentence b4 and after.
