Q

How does temperature affect the rate of reaction?

A

When there is a higher temperature the particles in the reactants have more energy so collide more and react quicker

Q

How does pressure affect the rate of reaction?

A

The higher the pressure the more particles there are in a certain volume the more collisions there are and the quicker it reacts

Q

How does a catalyst affect the rate of reaction?

A

A catalyst lowers the activation energy to make the reaction happen sooner.

Q

How do you work the energy given out in a reaction?

A

Add up all the energy needed to break the old bonds
Add up all the energy given when the new bonds are formed
Find the difference and if the energy needed is bigger then the reaction is endothermic and vice versa
