The centre of the roman catholic church and the home of the pope. It is a holy city for catholics and is located in Rome.

The pope is the leader of the Roman Catholic church.
His role is:
1- to appoint bishops around the world
2-to select members of the College of the Cardinals (this group will select his sucessor)
3- he blesses the tourists and catholics who visit the Vatican

A Papal Encyclical is a letter written by a Pope to an audience of bishops to help guide them in their ministry
Why is St Augustine important to christianity?
Augustine is important because he went on a mission to britain to spread Christianity, and did it successfully. Also he became the archbishop of Cantebury
Whats the significance of stained glass windows?
Stained glass windows were popular during medieval times. Most people couldn’t read or write so stained glass windows were a way to praise God and to show people stories from the bible
