St alban is a matyr because during late at night a priest arrived at his villa when alban was a roman soldier the preist was there because he refused to offer incense to his king because he was chrsitian a preist his name is amphibillius so alban wanted to know more about the religion so he learned alot and one day soldiers came to take the priest but alban put on his clothes to let the priest escape then head of the army told him to offer him incense but alban refused and died by serving his religion

St augestine
In 596CE pope gregory the great sent 40 monks from rome to preach to the english. By the time the group had arrive d to france theynhad heard so much about the english and how fierce they were that they wanted t go back home to rome. The pope however said that they had to continue withtheir mission. He said that they will have a great reward in heaven because it is difficult they have been asked to do. Pope Gregory managed to convince in French pre-to join the months from Rome and the whole group arrived in England in 597, CE Augustine and the group were welcomed by the English king.
