To find out how many more of something we need (e.g. animals) to make the ratio of e.g. cats to dogs change, e.g. from 2:5 to 5:4, what must we do?
A
Find an equivalent ratio to the new ratio, e.g. 5:4 where the values are over the original or the same e.g. the total number of cats must be the same or more.

When asked to use trig to work out the ratio of sides of a triangle, what can we do?
A
Write an equation using sin ,cos, tan, and the angle given.
Then write one as a value of another.
Divide by, e.g. AB to get 1 on one side and probs a decimal on the other
Find the smallest whole number ratio.
