Q

Temperature with rates of reaction

A

When the temperature is increased the particles all move faster.
The faster they move, the more collisions per second and the faster they move the more energy they have so they are more likely to reach the activation energy

Q

Concentration and the rate of reaction

A

If there are more particles in the same volume of water then there will be more collisions per second and more likely to have the reaction

Q

Surface area and the rate of reaction

A

The larger the surface area the more collisions per second and therefore a faster rate of reaction

Q

Catalyst to increase the rate

A

The catalyst provides a different route that lowers the activation energy

Q

Colour change and measuring rates of reaction

A

By placing a piece of paper with a cross underneath and a reaction like sodium thiosulfate and HCl which makes the liquid go cloudy and time how long it takes for the cross to be out of view

Q

Reversible reactions

A

These are just reactions that go back and forth. An example of this is hydrated copper sulfate👉👈anhydrous copper sulfate and water
