Random Flashcards
Epigenetics
Study of how behavior and envirnment can causes changes that affect the way our gene work. Unlike genetic changes, epigenetic changes are reversible and do not change our DNA sequence, but they can change how your body reads a DNA sequence.
DNA Sequencing
Determining the order of four nucleotide acid bases in DNA. They are adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine.
Proteomics
Large scale analysis of proteins.
Imaging mass spectrometry
label-free analytical technique that can visualize spatial distribution of molecules on the sample surface
Pathways analysis
Pathways is a model describing the interaction of genes, proteins or metabolites with cells, tissues, or organisms not set of genes.
Gene set analysis
Gen set analysis is an unordered and unstructured collection of genes that are associated with a
a specific biological process (e.g. cell cycle), location (e.g. on chromosome 1), disease (e.g. breast cancer)
