What is RAM

A

Temporary storage of instructions data and information for the processor which is faster than permanent storage in the hard disk. It also contains the operating system while the PC is running

How does ROM start up the computer

A

Passes the Power On Self Test (POST) to the CPU. The CPU sends signals to every connected component, to write them up and make the COU aware of them. The operating system is loaded into RAM and can now be booted up
