How do you calculate DDR PC speed?
How to calculate DDR speed. Take your motherboard speed and double it. Then take the DDR speed and multiply it by 8 to get the PC speed.
How many digits will DDR RAM be?

How do you calculate DDR2 PC speed?
DDR2 calculation. Take motherboard speed (100 megahertz) and double that (200 megaherts) then for the 2, double it again (making it 400 megahertz) [on the stick it will say DDR 400] then multiply that times 8. PC2 3200.
How do you calculate DDR3 PC speed?
DDR3 PC calculation. Take the motherboard speed (100 megahertz) and multiply it time 4 to get the quadrupled speed (400 megahertz), then double that to get the DDR3 speed (800 megahertz), and then multiply by 8 to the the PC speed of PC3 6400.
What should you make sure your motherboard can do before installing RAM?
Make sure your motherboard can handle the amount of RAM you want to install.
