* Knife edge shape of enamel is usually intact.

The lamina dura is the hard bony lining of the alveolus (Fig. 1), or socket, of a tooth, and together with the periodontal ligament and the cementum which coats the tooth root it forms the attachment apparatus of the tooth.

Cortical bone is any radiographically detectable layer that does not have an trabeculae patterns in it.

It’s a flat layer of very radiopaque bone  as indicated by the arrows (which is the lamina dura itself) .
