Q

Define
- Panorama
- Tomograph
- Panoramic radiograph

A

Panorama= unbroken/complete view of the whole region surrounding an observer

Tomography = a technique for displaying a representation of a cross section through a human body or other solid object using X-rays or ultrasound.

PAnoramic radiogrpah = two-dimensional (2-D)
dental x-ray examination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues. The jaw is a curved structure similar to that of a horseshoe.

Q

define focal trough/img layer.

A

The three-dimensional, horseshoe-shaped zone where images are sharp is called the focal trough, or image layer.

Q

What is ghost IMG and how are they dispalyed (what are 3 main characteritics)?

A

Ghost IMG are displayed on the opposite side of where the object is.

  • They are blurry
  • HIgher up
  • Opposite side.

check ghost img on slide 15&16
