The limb of a microscope

The limb connects the base of the microscope with the body. The limb supports the other components and is used to carry the microscope

The objective lenses
A
The objective lenses are housed in the nose piece and together with the eye lenses, magnify the sample being viewed. There are usually four lenses; x4 for scanning x10 low power x40 high power x100 oil immersion (less expensive models may not include the x4 objective lens)
